What See and Do
The absolute highlight for everyone that is interested in Pre-Colombian history are the mysterious stone spheres around the area of Palmar Norte and Palmar Sur. Though there exist many theories about the way they came into existence, nobody is certain about it yet.
A long time ago, workers who cleared the jungle for making room for banana plantations discovered them. Because people back then believed they contain gold, they either damaged or destroyed many spheres. Nowadays they are protected property of the government because of their cultural importance.
