These significant natural reserves and wildlife refuges offer a breathtaking diversity of flora and fauna. Experts consider it to be one of the best bird watching parks in the country. But it also attracts all kind of tourists interested in the untamed nature of a dense rainforest. How to get to Golfito
Because of its huge distance from the capital San José, taking a domestic flight to Golfito is highly recommendable. Both Costa Rican domestic airlines, Sansa and Nature Air arrive and depart from the local airports just 4 km north of town.
Who got enough time can take the bus from San José. The ride can take up to eight hours or more. Even by car you will approximately need at least 6 till 7 hours.
